I’ve been updating my craft area and I wanted to bring in a little of my blog’s personality on my craft walls. If you have seen my Facebook cover picture you might have noticed the hexagon graphic. That was my inspiration for this project. I also just really like hexagons!
I didn’t want to free hand the print so I drew them first in Illustrator. I printed my design on card stock. I made the hexagons a very light gray. You can barely see that they are even there.
The hardest part of this project was picking the colors! I am obsessed with this marker pack and it has so many colors to choose from. The other thing that is great about these markers is the case it comes in. I love that I have a sturdy place to keep them all organized.
I decided to go with a few colors that matched the colors of my craft area. Not only does this pack have some great colors the names are so fun. For this project I used:
Tiki Hut Tan
Here you can see the very faint hexagons. Once you pick your colors, just fill in the hexagons.
That is all there is to it! If you would like the PDF file of the hexagons to make your own art just click on the link below. It is a 5 x 7 print.
Have fun updating your walls with this fun geometric design! Oh and if you like that candle holder, check out the tutorial from my friend Amy at Homey! Oh My!
Have a great weekend!
