Our Silhouette Challenge Facebook Group held a handmade exchange event this month. We were paired up with another person in our group and we had to get to know our partner through facebook/email messages. I was paired up with Brooke who writes over at The Sensory Emporium. I knew her from pervious Silhouette Challenges so I was excited to get to know her more!I We talked through Facebook and I also got wrapped up in her blog! It didn’t take me long to figure out what handmade gift to make her. She is such a crafty lady! She sews, she runs an Etsy shop, and she is amazing with her Silhouette! This saying was pinned to one of my craft boards for-ev-er and I thought it would make a cute tote! Perfect for such an amazing talent like Brooke!
I used heat transfer in black and I found the colorblock tote off of Pick Your Plum. Once my design was in the Silhouette Studio, I mirrored/flipped the image. It’s important that you flip your image or it will come out backwards when it comes time to iron it on your bag! I have plenty of experience on NOT flipping your image. Oh! The HTV that I have wasted! Any others that forget to do this sometimes? Tell me I am not alone! Sigh.
If you would like to make your own Happiness Is Craftiness Tote you can download the studio file here:
I think it turned out pretty cute!! I also made a couple of mini totes for her adorable kiddos!
The butterfly and gears are from the Silhouette Online Store. The bags can be found at Michael’s and they are the perfect size to hold all their treasures.
It was so exciting waiting for the mail to arrive!!!! Here was my amazing gift she sent me!!!
How stinkin’ adorable is that! It’s a small little bag that I am using for a makeup bag in my purse, a coin bag, and a chapstick holder all with my initial! I absolutely love the whale fabric and the embroidery! She also sent me a stamped anchor key chain which I love! Thank you so much Brooke for my gift!! You did a wonderful job on everything! I have already been getting compliments when I am out and about! <3!
We are sharing the love and stories today!! Check out all the other amazing handmade gifts from Silhouette Challenge Members below!

Craftiness is happiness! I love how this bag came together, and that quote pairs perfectly with the Pick Your Plum bag. So pretty!
I love the tote! Beautiful! I just recently bought a Silhouette and so far have only done vinyl projects. Can’t wait to do some heat transfer projects soon!
