Hey All!
So one of the things we did right away when we moved in was update the fireplace in our rental. Since it is a rental I couldn’t take the panels down. So I came up with the idea of putting beadboard to cover them up. They will be easy to take down when we move with no harm done to the existing fireplace.
So here is what the fireplace looked like before:
Those mirror panels are downright hideous! Ick. We had paneling in an apartment that icky dark brown and we painted it and it transformed the whole place!
Seriously they are!!! I had the beadboard up day one!!!!! Ohhh got to love paneling!! It is amazing what a little bit of paint can do to a place:)
Oh my gosh! Looks SO much better! We have paneling in our current place..it’s painted white but I have to admit I won’t miss it. The area will really make a cute bench space though.
Thanks Laurie!! I can’t wait to see your place once you are all moved in:)
love it!Great job !
Thanks Erika!
Those mirrors are hideous! What you did was such an improvement! Good idea with the cushions too!
I know!!! so b.a.d. Thanks!! Carpet is a great idea too!! Hmm…
Or how about a little carpeting right there? LOL
Wow what a great idea! I love how the beadboard looks- a definite improvement. Can’t wait to see how the cushions turn out!
Thanks Rachelle:)
Great fix for your fireplace, and the cushion is the perfect solution to the tiles. Looking so much better already.
I saw you sharing at the All Star Block Party.
Debbie 🙂
It looks so much better, cannot wait to see the bench seat!
