Hi Lovelies.
This past weekend I was able to attend the International Quilt Festival in Long Beach. Wow. Those ladies and gentlemen have talent and a buttload of patience. The quilts were amazing and really a work of art. I loved what they called the “modern” type of quilt.
Now on to the part that I truly loved.
Shopping.
They had so many vendors! Excuse my horrible phone pics. So blurry.
Here is my haul minus the hot wheel my B added.
I plan to make some totes and learn how to rag rug. I also got a quilt pattern for a quilt called Science Fair. I was in love when I saw it. All kinds of hexagon goodness in that quilt!
If anything this show really ignited my passion to quilt again. It was lost somewhere in between runny noses, doctor appointments, and moving.
I can’t wait to get started and actually post a finished quilt someday! 🙂
Hi Tori. Stopping by (and following) from mommy brain mixer. Loved learning about you and your travels. I admire people who can quilt. There are some amazing quilts out there and I think, it’s such a nice way to create and hold memories.
Hi Susi! Thanks for stopping by! There are soo many gorgeous quilts out there. One of my favorite parts of the show is reading about the story behind the quilt. Some of the quilters even have scrapbooks(I don’t think they call them that) about their quilts and the history behind them! Such a neat art form.
