This weekend I went to the SoCal Social that was hosted by Bev from Flamingo Toes and Viv from The V Spot. I have been wanting to meet up with some other bloggers in the local area for awhile now. I follow Flamingo Toes and when I saw all her posts about the SoCal Social I knew this would be a perfect!
I was so nervous and excited driving down to the Orange Circle that day. I knew no one. I was pretty nervous as I walked up! Would I find a group to do the “swag walk” with…what will it be like?!
The day started out with check in and we were handed bags and a cute handmade lanyard.
My fears of being the lone blogger swag walkin’ by herself were quickly diminished when I met up with the most awesome group of ladies! Seriously, they were so fun. It was like I knew them forever!
So after we grouped up we headed to all the wonder vendors at Old Towne in Orange. Vintage, antiques, artisan, modern. They had it all there.
Here we all are at Vintiques Home Decor! Look how cute everyone looks! It was a great store with vintage and handmade craft items. They were so welcoming and took our picture and Instagrammed it! What!
Pictured from left to right is Amanda, Alma, Me, Emmy, Melody, and Kristi.
We also stopped by Provisions Market and had some drinks and chatted. I met up with Caroline from 30 Minute Crafts . She also ran the Summer Street Team for Blueprint Social that I was on this summer. It was great getting to meet her face to face!
After a whole lot of shopping we took a break to relax. We snacked on some chocolate (sea salt caramels that I almost had to fight Alma for) and macarons from Paris in a Cup. Which I learned how to pronounce correctly.
Then we shopped and browsed some more until it was time to head to Avila’s El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant.
Can we just stop right here and talk about the massive bowl of guacamole that they put in front of my face.
Oh my goodness. It was amazing and I loved every bite. Dessert By Creative Cakes was delish! Oh my! The chocolate eclairs were so good!
They had so many great giveaways during dinner! I ended up winning this Xyron Creative Station.
Here is a picture of all the fun swag. I will be busy for days!
We had two guest speakers. Eva LaRue and Mark Montano. Their message was so inspirational. Short and sweet: Don’t let fear stop you from what you really want to do. Break that self imposed ceiling and go for what you want.
I ended the night chatting it up with Diane from Vintage Zest. We had so much to talk about with blogging. I think we could of chatted the entire night had it not been for late night creepers. Alma, your story at dinner did not help us! 😉
I am so glad I attended! I enjoyed everything about that day but most of all the new friends I have made. I sincerely hope we do meet up again!
Awesome pictures! You definitely captured the whole whirlwind of the day’s festivities. 🙂 It was so fun meeting you and the rest of the girls!
I forgot about the exhausted picture, too funny! Love love your recap. So glad I got to meet you, it really was such a fun day. Yes, I was glad I had people to walk with to my car after Alma’s story!
We definitely have to plan to meet up again sometime soon

You are so brave Tori! I have always secretly wanted to meet up with other bloggers in real life. It was reassuring to see that you had a good experience. I am excited to follow your blog and to work along side you on the Silhouette design team! Can’t wait to be “friends”!
Hi Lisa! If you ever get the chance you should!! I am off to explore your blog now!
Aren’t blogger meet-ups the best?! (Of course, I’m selfishly thinking of our meet-up at the Burrito place and Hobby Lobby!) But this seriously takes meet-up to a whole new level of awesomeness. That SWAG! Seriously, girl! You lucked out. And I can’t wait to see what you create with that fancy Creative Station.
Looks like you had a blast! So glad you got to go to this, Tori….and thanks to this post, we can live vicariously through you. 😉
