Hi Friends!
I am so excited to bring you this project today! I love when a project turns out exactly how I pictured in my head. That seems to never happen!! 😉 It was also a pretty easy project to do! Bonus!
I first used this Metallic spray paint in Silver to spray cardboard letters that I picked up at Jo-Ann’s.
I gave them overnight to dry.
While waiting for the paint to dry I started on my wreath. Using my Silhouette CAMEO I used this file to cut the leaves out. I’ve included the cut file, you can download it here.
I also used the CAMEO to cut out the circle for the wreath. I did use plain card stock but I would suggest using chipboard if you have it on hand. It would make the wreath a little sturdier. I knew that I was just going to tape it right on to my mirror so I wasn’t too worried about it. However, it is really flimsy!! You can download the cut file for the circle here:
Once your leaves and circle form are cut it is time to assemble. I just stapled on the leaves. I stapled in a pattern -2 leaves together then one positioned in the middle. I folded the leaves a little at the bottom. I tried to show in the picture the pattern I was working with. I hope that make sense!
I also knew I wanted more green in my wreath than any other color. I used 12×12 cardstock. I used 6 green pieces – 1 dark green paper – 1 white and 1 gold.
I taped on a red glittery bow that I found at Jo’Ann’s and my project was complete! A simple Christmas wreath that packs quite a little punch. I love how the silver letters catch the light. I am also loving the gold and silver together! Can you tell I might love this project a little too much?! I will stop now.
If you are looking for other ways to decorate with paper wreaths I also made this pallet art using the same wreath:
You can catch the post here: Create Pallet Art.
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday! I will be back tomorrow sharing what is under that little fantle I got there!
