Window art using BIC Magic Marker Brand Window Marker

Happy Friday!!

Today, I have an easy way to decorate for Valentine’s Day!  Remember these old windows I picked up while I was down in Florida last summer?  I decided to spruce one up just in time for Valentine’s day using BIC’s Magic Marker Window Marker. These markers are really cool!  In fact when I was at the Craft and Hobby Show {CHA} this year they won the “Hot 20 Award” for the most creative and “buzzworthy” crafting product of 2014.

These window markers these have a really rich color. I used only the white marker for my window but I also experimented with a pink one! Super bright and perfect to leave little love notes on a mirror. 😉

So let’s get to the project!

I decided to use a quote from one of my favorite artists Jack Johnson. The quote is from his song “Better Together”.  Hands down this is one of my favorite songs of all time. I use to (and still do) sing this song to my babies while I rocked them to sleep. Seriously, it’s worth a listen if you have never heard it before.

So I cheated just a wee bit!  I created a template to tape to the back of the window.

Then I traced over the letters.  Easy!

Then I just doodled around the other panes of the window.

That’s it! This project (once my template was made)  took a total of 30 minutes to trace and doodle.

If you would like to use my Better Together template you can download it here:  Window Art Template

The markers easily remove with a damp cloth. So when I am done with this design I can change it up for the next holiday or season. I love a project that I can reuse over and over again through the year.  I also love that it has a chalkboard feel to it although different.

So I just have to know…what would you draw or what quote would you use??

Have a wonderful weekend!
