This weekend I was playing around in Illustrator and came up with this fun printable for the summer. I think it adds a little something special to my summertime mantel. I also made the frame and it was pretty easy to make. I love the gray and white stripes and it has a very nautical feel to it.
I found the frame from Consumer Crafts . I love how wide the frame is. Usually, when you buy unfinished wood frames they are a bit on the skinny side. This is nice and wide and l love it! It makes my stripes really pop.
For the paint I used Martha Stewart – Gray Wolf. I love this color. It’s almost a more taupe than gray but really pretty! I also used White Decoart paint. So to start…and please excuse these how to photos…whew…I must of been in a hurry that night.
I painted my entire frame in gray. Once my frame was dried, I placed Frog Tape (delicate kind) to create my stripes.
The white stripes are about 2 inches long.
I then peeled my tape off. Done.
I placed the beach printable inside and I was done!
