Thanksgiving is this week! We will have a small Thanksgiving this year but I always try to do something fun for the kids at their table. I usually line the table with paper and give them markers and crayons to decorate it. This year I decided to make little turkey crayon packets to hold all those crayons. So I took to Pinterest and found this cute design for a turkey. I liked the circles and knew it would be perfect for a packet size.
Want to make some of your own? Well, it’s easy and I created a printable for you. All you have to do is cut, fold, and glue!
I recommend printing this out on cardstock for extra durability. Especially since it will be holding crayons!
I made two different versions of this turkey. One that is colored version or a black and white version for the kids to color in. You can download them here:
Start by cutting out the packet and folding the light gray lines in.
Glue down the side and adhere together. I love using the Elmer’s Craft Bond glue. It’s dries quick and really adheres together!
Fold up the bottom flap and glue.
You can decide if you want the kids to put the feathers on the packet themselves. Just cut all the feathers out and place them around the table for the kids to decorate. Make sure to provide some glue sticks for them!
You can also assembly the turkey together if you just want some cute crayon holders for your table. Have the kids write or draw what they are thankful for and glue the feathers to the back of the packet.
That’s it! Hope this makes your kid’s table special!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
