I love to decorate for the New Year! Whether we are going out or just having a small get together at home I always decorate. The last few years I have been making my own New Year decor and I am sharing them with you today! All you need is a printer and scissors and you are good to go!
I used my 2 inch circle punch to quickly punch the circles out. I love that 2 inch punch! I have found it to be a crafting necessity! You can also just cut with scissors. The circle punch just makes it a bit easier.
I also made a mini pennant banner. Just simply cut it out and hot glue to some baker’s twine! Easy!
I also wanted to make a big pennant banner to hang around the house so I simply just made a bigger version on my mini pennant banner. 🙂
I used a hole punch and ran some ribbon through the holes.
I did have some help of my Silhouette machine for the shiny gold circles. I used printable gold foil from Silhouette (love that stuff) and cut out 2 inch circles that said 2015. Then cut out 2.5 inch black card stock circles to adhere to the foil. The printable gold foil has a sticky back so I can really use these stickers anywhere! You can use them to close up gift bags for your party guests too!

For the centerpieces, I attached the gold foil 2015 and the black “cheers” circles to a couple of tin cans. I used leftover Christmas garland to give it some color. Â
I also used some of that left over garland as decor. I just simply cut a piece of and hot glued it to a wooden skewer.
I think they look like fireworks! 🙂
The wooden stars are just dipped in glitter and hot glued to skewers.
I love to plan for the coming year and create a few goals for myself. I thought it would be fun to do this with the family this year. I came up with these simple “goal” sheets to fill out on New Years Eve.
That’s it! I am all ready for the New Year!
Want to print them out on your own?? Here are the files:Â
I hope everyone has a wonderful, fun, and safe New Years!
See you in 2015! 🙂
